We really love relaxed intimate weddings where anything can happen including a game of cricket!

‘Melissa and Logan are such an awesome couple. Family is really important to them. Their wedding, ceremony and reception all took place on a lifestyle block that belongs to some friends of theirs.

And it was awesome to be able to document the day and everything that happened. And particularly important for Melissa and Logan was photographing their two children. They are quite young and as I often say, the key thing to photographing children is to involve them in the process. Get them alongside you, get them doing things for you, working together and then it becomes easier to photograph them.

It was aand amazing, way to capture the day. Melissa particularly appreciated the way that I interacted with her two children. It was so very important for her.

One thing we are passionare about is that we emphasis how we communicate with couples around what's important to them .What do they want? What do they not want? Who are the key important people to photograph? How will we capture them? It's vital to us to have these discussions beforehand. We always prefer to do a practice shoot a short time before the wedding so that we can get used to each other. They get to know our style, feel more comfortable, we work out what we're going to do so that the day has a nice clear structure to it. Then it runs a lot more smoothly That's a key feature of what I do for all weddings I photograph. One very important photo for them was a sunset photograph on the hilltop overlooking the city. We managed to capture that really well so that was extra exciting for them.’
