Practice wedding shoots
As wedding photographers, we try to always do a practice wedding shoot with all of our lovely couples. It allows us a chance to get to know each other better. Just as importantly, we can teach you some basic posing and help you get comfortable in front of a camera. Before the shoot we will send you some YouTube videos on wedding poses. These are just there for you to have a look and see what is involved and give us a starting point. They also act like a safety net, if we can’t think of a pose then we always have a few in the bag. We rarely need them but it’s great to work out the “awkwardness” of posing for the camera and sometimes in public. We have years of experience posing people so we will make this all very easy for you. As long as your wedding is in the Auckland region, this is all included in our wedding packages so there are no extra costs.
As they say, preparation is the key to success!
Remember, on the day, everyone is there for you. Everyone wants the day to go well so that positive energy will make this all so much easier.
Here is a sample practice shoot with Shannon and Darren. These are taken where the bridal party shoot will happen, and the only real difference will be outfits and if you have a bridal party with you on the day. These images are edited and shared with you, so they are like a free couple shoot so that’s a nice little bonus!
